03. Include file types

Photos are always included. Video and document content is copied without alterations.

04. Export destination & verification

Choose a ZIP or a newly created destination folder. Direct folders are supported only in compatible desktop browsers on HTTPS or localhost.

Large downloads

For very large collections, save several smaller ZIP files instead of one enormous download.

If one video is bigger than the limit, it is kept whole in its own ZIP. Desktop Chrome or Edge is recommended.

ⓘ Why are my pictures safe?

Original file bytes are added to the ZIP as-is (ZIP STORE mode). We never resize, edit, rotate, or recompress them. Previews and analysis are separate and temporary. The downloaded ZIP is a new copy.

Dates are evidence, not guesses.

JPEG EXIF capture dates are identified where possible. Modified dates are marked as estimates; unrecognized media stays in Undated.

File checks

See files that need attention before you download your copies.

Deleted photos cannot be recovered by a normal website.

Browsers cannot scan unallocated disk space, access raw sectors, or bypass filesystem permissions. Banaune can collect files that are still accessible in selected folders (including visible recycle/trash folders). For truly deleted files, use specialist recovery software and avoid writing to that drive.

If a file could not be read, review it here and retry. An incomplete export is never reported as a complete backup.
